GAME 2 STATS
Junior Bryan Dominick (Waukesha, Wis.) and sophomore Ryan Revoir (Olathe, Kan.) combined to pitch a shutout as the Central Methodist University baseball team earned its first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Lindsey Wilson College. The Blue Raiders avenged the loss with a 5-0 win over the Eagles in game two of the doubleheader Tuesday afternoon.

After five scoreless innings in game one, the Eagles finally broke through with a run on three hits in the top of the sixth. Sophomore Mike Allen (Mattawan, Mich.) hit a two-out single. Junior Michael Dowd (Marthasville, Mo.), pinch running for Allen, stole second, and came around to score on a single by junior Raymond Fuentes Jr. (Isabela, Puerto Rico). Senior Adam Arnette (Pacific, Mo.) followed with a single but the inning ended with a pop out. Dominick pitched five shutout innings, allowing just three hits while striking out three, to earn the win. Revoir came in to pitch two innings of relief, allowing one run and striking out one for the save.

Lindsey Wilson got its offense going early in game two, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Blue Raiders added two more runs in the third, and made it 5-0 in the fourth inning. Lindsey Wilson held CMU to just two hits in the game to earn the 5-0 win. Sophomore Travis Tompson (West Plains, Mo.) took the loss for the Eagles, allowing five runs, including three earned, while striking out two in 4 2/3 innings. Sophomore Brian Calhoun (Ballwin, Mo.) pitched 1 1/3 innings of shutout relief, allowing two hits.

Central Methodist ended its season-opening road trip with a 1-4 record. Lindsey Wilson College improved to 2-1 on the season with Tuesday's split.
