Central Methodist University sophomore Steve Bazner (Waterford, Mich.) and freshman Rhett Quinlan (Boonville, Mo,) swept this week's Heart of America Athletic Conference baseball player- and pitcher-of-the-week honors, respectively.

Bazner, who plays third base and designated hitter for the Eagles, was selected as the HAAC baseball player-of-the-week after batting .500 while leading CMU to a 3-1 record on the week. Bazner went 6-for-12 from the plate and accounted for five RBI and two runs scored on the week for the Eagles. He leads Central Methodist in batting average and runs batted in this season.

Quinlan, a left-handed pitcher, received the HAAC pitcher-of-the-week honor after improving his record this season to 3-0. Quinlan scattered six hits while pitching a complete-game shutout win over Evangel University. He recorded three strikeouts in the game as well.
