Belt, Homfeld Selected as NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athletes
The Central Methodist University baseball team had two players earn recognition as 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athletes, announced Thursday by the NAIA.

Senior Tyler Belt (Macon, Mo.) and junior Andrew Homfeld (Higginsville, Mo.) were among the 228 athletes to be named 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athletes. It was the third straight season that Belt has been recognized on the scholar-athlete list, while Homfeld was a first-time honoree.

The 228 athletes on the 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athlete list represented 110 institutions from across the NAIA. In order to be selected as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, an individual must be of at least junior academic standing and maintain at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
