KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Senior�right fielder�Matt Gessner of Central Methodist was named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference Baseball Golden Glove�Team.
Gessner, who also played center field for the�Eagles in 2012,�ranked tied for 12th in the league in fielding percentage with a 0.990 mark. The Lykens, Pa., native committed only one error in 2012 and recorded 100 putouts in 43 games, leading�Central Methodist�to the HAAC Tournament Championship Game.
Gessner is joined on the squad by Avila junior 1B Cameron Luitwieler, senior C Nick Field and senior P James Chapman; MidAmerica Nazarene senior 2B Kevin Liddle and senior CF Kyle Segraves; sophomore SS Jacob Garrison of Evangel; senior 3B Gustavo Arcia of Peru State; and LF Joshua Zach of Baker.
