JOPLIN, Mo. - Central Methodist, the defending champion in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Baseball Championship Series and six-seed this season, battles four-seed Culver-Stockton (Mo.) on Saturday in a third round elimination game at 10 a.m. CT at Wendell Redden Stadium.
The winner of the Eagles/Vikings game advances to face the winner of No. 2-seed Evangel (Mo.)/No. 5-seed Baker (Kan.) on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Eagles advanced to play on Saturday after dispatching seven-seed Missouri Valley from the tournament 7-0. The Wildcats lost in the second round Friday to top-seed MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) 6-5 in 10 innings to fall into the elimination game.
Central Methodist lost three of four games at Culver-Stockton but did win the series finale to end the regular season
