Fayette, Mo. Central Methodist University head baseball coach Nate Breland announced Tuesday, the signing of outfielder Matt Tegtmeier (Crystal Lake, Ill.). Tegtmeier signs with CMU, after previously attending McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, Illinois the last two years.

"Matt (Tegtmeier) is a dynamic outfielder," said CMU head coach Nate Breland. "He has proven he can hit in the top of the lineup and he helped lead McHenry to the JUCO D2 World Series."

Matt Tegtmeier just completed his sophomore season at McHenry County College; as his team was eliminated from the JUCO D2 World Series yesterday (Monday). This past season, Tegtmeier hit .297, while appearing in 37 games. He smashed two homeruns and drove in 31 runs, while scoring 21 runs and stealing five bases. In Tegtmeier's freshman season in the spring of 2015, he hit .345 in 28 games played, and hit two homeruns, while finishing with 21 RBI's. He also scored 25 runs and stole nine bases.
