Kansas City, Mo. - After a phenomenal week, Central Methodist sophomore Tanner Sears was tabbed as the Heart Baseball Player of the Week by the conference office Monday.
In 26 at-bats on the week, Sears hit .423 with 11 hits, incuding five home runs and two doubles. He drove in 14 total runners, with his top game of the week coming against MNU, when he recorded a three home run, six RBI game.
Sears led the Eagles to a 6-2 record to open conference play, including a sweep of Baker this past weekend.
Central will host host Benedictine College for a four-game series beginning Saturday, April 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Estes Field. The program will also recognize its 1970's All-Decade team in between games one and two.
