Fayette, Mo. - The No. 6 Central Methodist Baseball program secured a pair of Friday afternoon victories over Waldorf University by scores of 4-3 and 7-0 at Estes Field. 

Central improves to 20-4 overall while the Warriors fall to 10-9. 

The first run of game one was plated by Waldorf in the top of the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly to centerfield. 

CMU responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth, beginning with an RBI-double from Dominic VanDoorne followed by an RBI-single from Bobby Nichols. 

Central extended its lead to three in the sixth, as Zeb Wede tripled to right centerfield to score Carlos Negron, followed by a sacrifice fly from Joseph Weatherford. 

Waldorf scored two runs on three hits in the seventh to cut the deficit to one, before Larry Riddle Jr. struck out the final batter of the game to secure a one-run victory for Central. 

Sebastian Escobar got the game one start on the bump, throwing four complete innings and giving up just one earned run on two hits. He also struck out three batters. 

Riddle Jr. came in relief for the final three innings of work, recording three Ks en-route to his first win of the year. 

In game two, Central scored seven runs on five hits and capitilized on three Warrior errors. 

Sears led the Eagle bats with four total RBI, highlighted by a two-run home run in the bottom of the first inning. 

Nichols, Valentin Cerna Jr. and Weatherford all drove in runners for CMU as well. 

Clayton Burke earned his fifth win of the year on the bump. The junior tossed six complete innings and allowed no runs on just three hits. He struck out seven total batters and gave up just three walks. 

Alexander Billo pitched the final inning for CMU, striking out two batters to close the game out. 

Central will conclude its three-game series against the Warriors with a single nine-inning game Saturday, March 16 at 12:00 p.m. at Estes Field.
