No. 6 Central Completes Sweep of Waldorf Saturday Afternoon

Fayette, Mo. - The No. 6 Central Methodist Baseball team completed the weekend series sweep over the Waldorf Warriors Saturday afternoon.

Central cruised in their final game of the three-game series by a score of 12-1. The Eagles now stand at 21-4 overall while the Warriors drop to 10-10.

CMU plated 12 runs on 14 hits which included six for extra bases. Bobby Nichols, Jeremy Conforti, and Zeb Wede picked up three hits apiece, including an RBI triple for Nichols, a pair of doubles for Conforti, and a double for Wede.

Tanner Sears continued his strong in 2024 with a two-run home run in the second inning. Carlos Negron also homered to center field in the fourth to score two.

Foster Seitz earned his fifth win of the year on the bump. He threw six complete innings and allowed just one earned run on one hit, which came in the top of the first inning. Seitz also struck out four batters.

Ray Ochoa came in relief for the final inning of work, striking out two batters.

Central returns to conference action where they will host Mount Mercy for a four-game weekend series beginning Friday, March 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Estes Field.
