Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist junior Tanner Sears was named the Heart Baseball Player of the Week by the conference office this week.
It marks the first weekly conference honor for Sears in 2024.
The native of Higginsville, Missouri had a monster weekend in the Eagles' 4-0 series sweep of Missouri Valley College. He hit .769 against the Vikings with four home runs, two doubles and 10 RBI.
He finished the week batting 10-of-13 at the plate and drew three walks. Sears' best game three Sunday, as he finished the day batting four-for-four with three home runs and six total RBI.
Central will next travel to Atchison, Kansas to face Benedictine College for a four-game weekend series beginning Saturday, April 20 at 1:00 p.m.
