Fayette, Mo. - Two members of the Central Methodist Baseball program earned 2025 CSC Academic All-District honors in the NAIA Division.
Senior pitcher Foster Seitz and graduate outfielder Ryan Malzahn were the two Eagles representing the program.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First, second, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on July 1, 2025.
Seitz, a Business major from St. Louis, Missouri, earned All-District honors for the first time in his career. He pitched in 15 games with 15 starts, tallying an 11-4 record with a 3.67 earned run average through 90.2 innings pitched.
He struck out 68 total batters and tossed four complete games. Seitz was named a Heart First Team All-Conference selection in his final season in an Eagle uniform.
Malzahn is a graduate student pursuing his Master's in Business Administration from Central. In his lone season with the Eagles, Malzahn finished second on the team in home runs (13), RBI (61), and stolen bases (16), while leading the Eagles with 16 doubles. The Foristell, Missouri native played in 49 games and tallied a .388 batting average with 66 hits.
For his efforts in 2025, Malzahn was named a Heart All-Conference Second Team selection and the Most Valuable Player of the Heart Conference Tournament.
The pair led the Eagles to a 35-15 record, which included a conference tournament title and their ninth straight trip to the national tournament.
