FAYETTE, Mo. - Erica Fuemmeler has been hired as an assistant coach for the Central Methodist spirit squad, head coach Terin Fuemmeler announced. Erica is the sister-in-law of the second year head coach.

"Erica has a gigantic cheer background, and she will be an absolute asset to our team in practice, recruitment, competition season, and games," Terin Fuemmeler said. "Erica is not only family, but one of my best friends. This is going to be an exciting year for the CMU Spirit Squad, as our cheer and dance teams are both very talented."

Erica Fuemmeler has over a decade of cheerleading experience. Most recently, she has been the head coach at her alma mater, Cairo High School, since 2010. She continues to work there in addition to being the assistant at Central Methodist.

Erica Fuemmeler started as a member of the Missouri state champion squad at Cairo in 2001; the school earned a second-place finish in 2002. She took over coaching in 2004 at Cairo and placed first that season and in 2006. Cairo placed second in 2005.�

Erica Fuemmeler served as head coach at Moberly Area Community College (Mo.) for two seasons.�
