ATCHISON, Kan. - Central Methodist captured its first-ever Heart of America Athletic Conference championship Saturday, winning the Co-Ed Cheerleading Division in Ralph Nolan Gymnasium on the campus of Benedictine (Kan.). The Eagles totaled 253.00 points, holding off MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) by 3.25.

The Eagles finished third in the Small Dance Division, totaling 225.00 points.�

Overall, Central Methodist placed second with 478.00 points and will participate in the NAIA North Regional Qualifier, hosted by Doane (Neb.), on Friday, Feb. 27, at 8 a.m. CT.
