FAYETTE, Mo. — The Central Methodist competitive cheer team, under the guidance of Terin Fuemmeler, has announced its 2020 competition schedule.
"We're really looking forward to this year's competitive season," said Fuemmeler, who is entering her eighth season as the head cheerleading coach at Central Methodist. "We're very fortunate to have a large portion of our athletes from last year returning with many great new additions to the team."
The Eagles will look to build on a successful 2019 campaign that saw Central earn its first appearance at the NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championships, finishing in eighth place.
This year's schedule will feature three events before beginning postseason competitions. The Eagles will open at MidAmerica Nazarene on Jan. 31. The following day, the Eagles will travel to Baker before finishing the road trip at Benedictine on Feb. 2.
The Heart of America Conference Championship is scheduled for Feb. 15 in Olathe, Kan. The NAIA Regional Qualifier is set for Feb. 28-29 in Baldwin City, Kan.
