Eagles Fall to Baker

FAYETTE, Mo. — After fighting to a 7-7 tie after one quarter on Saturday afternoon, No. 20 Baker responded with 28 unanswered points and ultimately triumphed over the Central Methodist football team, 41-14.

Jordan Williams (SR/Memphis, Tenn.) threw for 295 yards on 28-of-49 passing. The Eagles couldn't find much success in the running game, although Kaylon Johnson (SR/Memphis, Tenn.) and Williams did find paydirt with their feet. Katavious Taylor (JR/Memphis, Tenn.) led the Eagles with seven catches for 101 yards.

Luis Bello (SR/Miami, Fla.) led the defense with 12 tackles, including one for loss. Jory Maddox (JR/Palmyra, Mo.) wasn't far behind with nine and two TFLs. Will Miles (SR/Rock Island, Ill.) had two tackles for loss and a forced fumble. Malcolm Elmore (SR/Higginsville, Mo.) set up a Central Methodist touchdown with a 48-yard interception return.

Next up for the Eagles is a matchup with No. 9 Evangel on Saturday, Nov. 9. It will be Senior Day at Davis Field and kick-off is set for 1 pm.
