Eagles Conclude Season with Road Loss to MidAmerica

OLATHE, Kan. – A game-ending pick-six doomed any chance for a Central Methodist comeback against MidAmerica Nazarene on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles took over on their own 30-yard line with 1:34 on the clock and drove all the way down to MidAmerica's 13-yard line. But the Pioneers snatched an interception on the final play of the game and returned it for a touchdown to make the final score 19-7.

In the second quarter, Jordan Williams found Katavious Taylor on a 45-yard touchdown to tie the game. But that would be the only points of the day for Central Methodist.

Williams went 22-for-42 through the air, passing for 220 yards. Taylor caught four passes for 71 yards. Damontay Allen caught seven balls for 56 yards. Kaylon Johnson led the way on the ground, rushing 17 times for 68 yards.

Luis Bello led the way with seven solo stops. He also had a sack and forced a fumble. Anthony Hernandez also forced a fumble to go along with six tackles. Will Miles and Mar'Quess Daniels picked up sacks, as well.

Central Methodist outgained MidAmerica, 322-260. The Eagles also picked up 19 first downs to just 15 for the Pioneers.

The Eagles finish the season at 5-5-1, the most wins for the program since a six-win season in 2014.
