FAYETTE, Mo. - Nathan Jackson, a 6-foot 2 shooting guard from Lee's Summit West High School, has committed to play for Central Methodist for the 2012-13 season, head coach Jeff Sherman announced. Jackson becomes�the first to ink�his name in the Signing Class of 2012.
"We are most thrilled to have our first signee be Nathan," Sherman stated. "CMU has traditionally been known to have the finest three-point shooters in the country, and we hit the nail on the head with Nathan.�He is one of the finest three-point shooters in the state and has played and started on one of the state's top teams. Nathan is a great addition to our program.�He already has a college-made body and strength, as well as experience and talent to go along with the mind set to be a successful college player."
During the 2011-12 season with the Titans, Jackson averaged 11.2 points per game. He made 65 three-pointers and 36.5 percent of all attempts from behind the arc. Jackson�hit 43 percent from the field�for the year.
Jackson ended his high school career as the Titans' career leader in made three-point field goals,�and he ranked third on the school's all-time scoring list.�
Jackson was voted All-Conference and All-District for two years.
