KANSAS CITY - Central Methodist senior guard Melvin Tillman has been voted to the 2013-14 NAIA Division I Men's Basketball All-America second team, announced Wednesday from the NAIA office.
An honorable mention selection last year, Tillman was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Co-Player of the Year and a first-team selection this season.
Tillman, from Richmond, Ind., ranked 10th in Division I in assists per game (5.172), 12th in points per game (21.414), 23rd in assist/turnover Ratio (2.381) and 25th in 3-point field goal percentage (0.434) and treys made per game (2.621).
Tillman finished 12th on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,429 points in three seasons.
All of the selections are made by the All-America Committee and comprises a First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention Team. There are 10 members on each of the first three All-America teams.
