With the victory, Central Methodist improves to 9-4 overall, while San Diego Christian College falls to 7-5 with the loss.

Central Methodist controlled Wednesday's contest against the Hawks from San Diego Christian College from the opening tip. The Eagles scored the first points of the game and never trailed throughout. CMU's largest lead of the game, was 29 points late in the second half.

In the first half, CMU outscored San Diego Christian 40-20. The Eagles shot 53% from the floor, 50% from beyond the three-point arc and 70% from the free-throw line in the first half. The Hawks, shot only 30% from the field, 10% from beyond the three-point arc and 75% from the free-throw line.

Central Methodist kept things rolling in the right direction, outscoring San Diego Christian 41-34 in the second half, on their way to the lopsided 81-54 victory. The Eagles shot 43% from the floor, 50% from behind the three-point arc and 75% from the free-throw line. San Diego Christian continued to struggle in the second half, shooting just 37% from the floor, 27% from beyond the three-point arc and 62% from the free-throw line.

In the victory, Ron Lee once again led the way for the Eagles with a team high 17 points in 31 minutes of action. Scott Stegeman notched another double-double, with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Marcus Walden scored 16 points in 27 minutes of action, along with his six rebounds. Jay Jones finished with 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists.

The Eagles will take a break and return to the court on January 6th, when CMU hosts Baker University in a conference doubleheader. The Lady Eagles will get things started at 5:30pm, followed by the men at 7:30pm.
