With the loss, the 22nd ranked Central Methodist University Eagles fall to 10-6 overall and 4-4 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. With the victory, Benedictine College; who are currently receiving votes in latest NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll, improve to 10-4 overall and 4-4 in The Heart.

The first half featured two sharp-shooting teams. Central Methodist shot 46% from the made five of their seven free-throw attempts. Benedictine College shot 47% from the field, but trailed CMU 36-30 at halftime.

In the second half, Benedictine stormed out on a 13-4 run in the first four minutes, sending momentum back in favor with the Ravens. Benedictine held strong and outscored the Eagles by ten points in the second half, 44-34; enroot to a 74-70 upset victory over the 22nd ranked Eagles. Benedictine shot 50% from the field in the second half, made eight of their 12 three-point attempts, and shot 8-for-11 at the free-throw line. Central Methodist shot just 40% in the second half and made just four of their seven free-throws.

Three players finished in double figures for the Eagles on Monday, as Jay Jones and Cole Adair both finished with 12 points apiece. Jones also finished with a team high nine assists, seven rebounds and four steals.

The 22nd ranked Eagles hit the road for a pair of games in the state of Iowa, beginning this Thursday night. CMU visits 5th ranked William Penn in Oskaloosa, Iowa beginning at 7:30pm. The Eagles will close out their roadtrip on Saturday at Graceland.
