"This is a wonderful honor for Ron Lee," said CMU head coach Jeff Sherman. "In his first season with the Eagles, Ron was among the league's top scorers and 3 point shooters. We saw a lot of improvement from Ron as the season progressed and his ability to attack the basket was better and he became a much improved defensive player."

Ron Lee finished his first year at Central Methodist in 2015-16, after transferring from Arizona Western College; where he spent his freshman and sophomore seasons. Lee played in all 31 games for the Eagles, and started in 21 of the contests. He led the team in scoring with 18.5 points per game. He averaged close to four rebounds a game and finished with 54 assists on the season and 32 steals. Lee shot 42.7% from the floor, and 38.6% from beyond the three-point arc. The long range shooter attempted 241 three-pointers this season. Lee also ranked second on the team in free-throw percentage, at 79.2%.

"We have a rich tradition of gaining post season recognition All-American honors with our guard positions, and this has to do mostly by how we play," added Sherman. "Ron's numbers were very good this season, consistent throughout the year and impressive. Ron has already scored over 1000 career points in college and has a great chance to score over 1000 in a CMU uniform next season during his senior year. To accomplish this in two years is remarkable. I am thrilled for Ron with this honor and excited to see what he will accomplish next season."
