Fayette, Mo. – Central Methodist University athletics director Brian Spielbauer announced today, that due to the inclement weather in Missouri these next few days, CMU and Evangel University have moved their basketball games from Saturday afternoon to Monday evening in Springfield, Missouri. Monday's games are now scheduled at 5:30pm for the women's game, and 7:30pm for the men's game.
"With the chance of ice throughout Missouri, both CMU and Evangel University decided it was in the best interest of all involved to play the games Monday," said CMU athletics director Brian Spielbauer. "The weather looks good for Monday, and we should have no travel issues."
The 16th ranked Central Methodist University women's basketball team enters Monday's game with a record of 14-2 overall, and 10-2 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. The Evangel women will enter Monday's contest with a 6-9 overall record, and 5-7 in conference play.
The men's game on Monday means a lot for each team, as they battle in the conference standings. Central currently sports a 10-6 overall record and are 7-5 in conference play. Evangel sits at 7-9 overall and 4-8 in The Heart.
Following Monday's conference doubleheader at Evangel, both Eagle squads will head west to square off against Baker University on Wednesday evening at 5:30pm and 7:30pm. CMU returns to Fayette on Saturday the 21st to host William Penn University at 2pm and 4pm.
