MARSHALL, Mo. – The Central Methodist University men's basketball team pulled off a gusty road win over rival school Missouri Valley College on Saturday afternoon in front of a rowdy opposing crowd.
The game was tight for the entire forty-minutes of play in a contest that showcased eight lead changes and nine ties. Central Methodist (14-12, 9-11 Heart) finished 49.1 percent from the field, earning the win with one free throw and one three-pointer ahead of the Vikings.
Josh Robinson (JR/Normal, Ill.) led the squad with 15 points while dishing a team-high of seven assists. Cameron Tutt (SR/Owensboro, Ky.) posted his sixth double-double of the season, comprised of 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Christian Soderholm (JR/Peru, Ill.) rounded out the top scorers with 11 points. Will Miles (SO/Rock Island, Ill.) lead the team defensively with a season-high of four blocks.
The Eagles will return to action on Wednesday evening to host MidAmerica Nazarene. Tipoff is set for 7:30 pm in Puckett Field House.
