FAYETTE, Mo. - The Central Methodist University men's basketball program is set to host a free youth basketball clinic on Saturday, February 1st.
The two-hour event is open to kindergarten through sixth grade boys and girls. The clinic will feature games and contests focused on the fundamentals of the game, based on each participants' grade level.
"This is our 35th year of offering free youth basketball clinics and it fits well with our popular summer basketball camp, which has been among the finest in the state," stated head coach Jeff Sherman. "Our entire program is excited to work with the youth of our local communities while promoting the NAIA's Champion of Character and the game of basketball."
Additionally, participants will receive a free commemorative men's basketball poster and free entry at remaining home games. Participants will also be eligible for special discounts for the upcoming summer camp, which is scheduled to take place on June 22-25.
Parents of participants are encouraged to complete a camp waiver and contact Coach Sherman (jsherm01@centralmethodist.edu) or Associate Head Coach Matt Sherman (msherman@centralmethodist.edu) prior to Saturday's event.
