Columbia, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's Basketball program fell to the Columbia College Cougars, 79-62 Tuesday night in Columbia, Mo.
The Eagles' record now stands at 2-2, while Columbia improves to 4-2.
Central held a five point advantage at the halftime break, leading by as many as 12 points at the 7:23 mark of the first. However, the Cougars outscored Central, 43-21 in the second half to earn a 17-point victory.
The key stat in the game was second half shooting, as the Cougars finished the evening shooting 48.6-percent from the floor compared to just 26.9-percent for the Eagles.
Josh Noton led the Central's offense with 22 points on 50-percent shooting from the field. He also added six rebounds.
James Jordan was the second and final Eagle to land in double figures with 14 points in 37 minutes of action.
Everett Stubblefield nearly cracked double double-digits with nine points. Thomas Sowoolu finished the evening with a team-high eight rebounds.
The Eagles open up conference play against Graceland University Monday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
