Kansas City, Mo. - After a solid three-game stretch this past week, Central Methodist sophomore guard Everett Stubblefield was named the Heart Men's Basketball Player of the Week by the conference office Monday.
The native of Chicago, Ill., led the Eagles to a 2-1 record including victories over MidAmerica Nazarene and Baker, two of the top teams in the league.
Stubblefield finished the week averaging 19 points/game while shooting 61.1-percent from the floor. Against the Wildcats, he scored a career-best 34 points in addition to five rebounds and two steals.
The Eagles return home for a two-game stand beginning with Benedictine College Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
