Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's Basketball team pushed its win streak to four with a 91-82 victory over Missouri Valley College Saturday afternoon inside Puckett Field House.
The Eagles improve to 12-9 and 9-6 in the Heart, while the Vikings drop to 6-16 and 4-12 in conference action. CMU also secures the regular-season split with MVC.
James Jordan had another stellar showing with 27 points on 11-of-18 shooting from the floor, along with seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
Quinan Rieves added 21 points and nearly secured a double-double with eight rebounds. Marcus Anthony chipped in 15 points and four rebounds in just 19 minuts off the bench.
Both teams were identical in shooting from the floor at 50.8-percent, with CMU holding a slight advantage from three at 34.8-percent. The difference came from the charity stripe, as Central shot 21-of-25 from the free throw line compared to 10-of-14 for Missouri Valley.
Central finished the evening with 44 points in the paint and 34 rebounds.
The Eagles head back out on the road for a two-game road swing beginning with Grand View University Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Des Moines, Iowa.
