Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist men's basketball team saw its eight-game win streak come to an end, as the Eagles fell to Baker University 90-80 Monday night inside Puckett Field House.
Central falls to 16-10 and 13-7 in the Heart of America, whiel Baker improves to 20-6 and 15-5 in conference action. It also marks Central's first home defeat this season.
CMU's offense featured three double-digit scorers, including two over 20. Jaquan Morris netted 23 points on eight-of-15 shooting from the floor which included six three-point baskets.
James Jordan chipped in 20 points along with five rebounds, and two assists. Everett Stubblefield rounded out the double-digit scorers with 16 points.
Quinan Rieves added seven points and led the Eagles with nine rebounds.
Baker had an extremely efficient shooting night, knocking down 51.4 percent of its attempts from the field. Central finished the evening shooting 36.5 percent. The Eagles shot well from the charity stripe at 77.8 percent.
The Wildcats won the battle of the boards, outrebounding CMU 43-37.
Central will head back out on the road to face the Park University Pirates Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in Parkville, Mo.
