Parkville, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's Basketball team earned nice bounce back victory over Park University by a score of 71-60 Wednesday night in Parkville, Mo.
The Eagles improve to 17-10 and 14-7 in the Heart, while Park falls to 5-21 and 3-18 in conference action.
Four of Central's starting five reached double figures, with Jaquan Morris leading the way with 20 points on eight-of-12 shooting from the floor. Morris also knocked down a game-high four three-point baskets.
James Jordan followed with 12 points on 50 percent shooting. In addition, Jordan dished out a game-high six assists.
Quinan Rieves nearly secured a double double with 11 points and nine rebounds. He also recorded two blocks Everett Stubblefield rounded out the double digit scorers for CMU with 10 points.
Senior Isaiah May had an efficient shooting night with nine points, five rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
Despite Park having an overall better shooting percentage, the Eagles converted 10 three-point baskets compared to just one for the Pirates. CMU forced 16 Park turnovers on eight steals.
Park won the battle of the boards, grabbing 42 rebounds compared to 33 for Central.
The Eagles return home for the regular season finale against No. 7 nationally ranked William Penn Saturday, Feb. 18 at 4:00 p.m. inside Puckett Field House. Central will honor its 2022-23 senior class prior to tipoff.
