Kansas City, Mo. - Four members of the Central Methodist Men's Basketball team were named to Heart All-Conference teams, as announced by the conference office Thursday.
All four representatives for CMU were first year players on this year's squad.
Graduate James Jordan was named the Heart Newcomer of the Year and a Heart First Team All-Conference selection to lead the way for the Eagles.
Jordan had a terrific season for CMU, averaging 18.5 points/game on 50 percent shooting from the floor and 43.4 percent from long range.
In addition, the native of Detroit, Mich. averaged 4.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists/game. He was named the Heart Player of the Week on Nov. 28 and had his best game of the year against No. 7 William Penn on Feb. 18, scoring 30 points on 11-of-15 shooting from the floor.
Sophomore guard Everett Stubblefield was selected to the Heart All-Conference Second team in his first year with CMU. Stubblefield averaged 15.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists/game. The Chicago, Ill. native was named the Heart Player of the Week on Jan. 23 after scoring a career-high 34 points against Baker on Jan. 21.
Quinan Rieves and Jaquan Morris rounded out the All-Conference selections, as each earned an Honorable Mention nod.
Rieves nearly averaged double figures at 9.8 points/game in addition to 7.5 rebounds/game. He had a streak of seven-straight contests where he scored at least 15 points. Rieves' best regular-season game of the year came against Clarke University on Feb. 4, as he scored 23 points on seven-of-12 shooting from the floor.
Morris appeared in 26 games for Central, averaging 12.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists/game. He finished the year shooting 33.5 percent from beyond the arc. In the regular season, Morris scored 20 or more points on four difference occasions, including 23 points against Baker on Feb. 13.
