Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's basketball team completed a route of Clarke University Saturday afternoon inside Puckett Field House.
Central defeated the Pride by a final score of 110-76, their highest offensive output of the season thus far.
With the win, the Eagles improve to 12-9 and 9-8 in the Heart. Clarke falls to 4-16 and 4-12 in conference action.
CMU began the game off strong on both ends of the floor, taking a 27-13 lead in the first 10 minutes.
Bol Tong was a key contributor during the stretch, scoring eight points including two-three point baskets.
Central went into halftime leading 51-32.
CMU continued their hot shooting in the second half, with Tong nailing a three in Central's first possession.
The Eagles continued to rack up the points with an exceptional offensive performance, shooting 61 percent from the floor and nearly 37 percent from three.
Tong reached 20 plus points for the second straight game, scoring 26 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the floor with six threes. He also grabbed eight rebounds, recorded two blocks, an assist and a steal.
Marcus Anthony and Destin Jenkins each tallied 16 points. Anthony grabbed six rebounds and dished out one assist while Jenkins grabbed three boards and tallied four assists in 20 minutes played.
Thomas Sowoolu provided a spark off the bench with 11 points, going a perfect five-of-five from the floor. He also finished with five rebounds.
The duo of Will Hemme and Kevin James finished the afternoon with 10 points.
Central dominated the glass, outrebounding the Pride 46-32.
CMU will next face Missouri Valley College Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m. in Marshall.
