Bellevue, Neb. - The Central Methodist Men's Basketball program opened the 2025-26 season with a 95-78 victory over the Hastings Broncos Friday night at the Chick-fil-A Classic in Bellevue, Neb.
The Eagles used a balanced scoring attack, which saw six different players land in double figures.
Isaiah Reams led the way with 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. He also added two steals and a block to his stat line.
Davion Guity finished the evening with 16 points off the bench, including four three-point baskets.
Raphael Gay added 12 points, while Kevin James and Kylen Smith tallied 11 each. Isaiah Bonaparte rounded out the double digit scorers with 10 points.
Central was efficient in all three phases of shooting, converting 54.8 percent from the floor, 46.4 percent from three, and 77.8 percent from the free throw line.
Additionally, the Eagles dominated the glass, outrebounding the Broncos, 46-24. Austin Prater led Central's rebounding efforts with a game-high 12 boards.
CMU closes the Classic with a Saturday afternoon matchup against Haskell University Saturday, Oct. 25 at 2:30 p.m.
