Salina, Kan. - The Central Methodist Men's Basketball team dropped their first game of the season against Bethel College Friday evening at the KWU Classic in Salina, Kansas. 

Central fell to the Threshers by a final score of 76-71, dropping to 2-1 on the early season. CMU held an eight point lead at the halftime break, but were outscored by BC in the second half, 48-35.  

Five different Eagles landed in double figures, led by Raphael Gay who scored 18 points. Davion Guity followed with 13 points in just 14 minutes off the bench while Tommie Williams chipped in 12. 

The duo of Isaiah Reams and Kevin James rounded out the double digit scorers with 10 points apiece. 

Bethel controlled the glass, grabbing 40 total rebounds compared to just 27 for the Eagles. The Threshers also converted 28-of-37 attempts from the free throw line, while Central finished just 15-of-28. 

Central will close out the Classic with a matchup against host school Kansas Wesleyan Saturday, Nov. 1 at 6:00 p.m.
