Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's Basketball team began Heart of America action with a convincing 88-70 win over (RV) MidAmerica Nazarene University Saturday night inside Puckett Field House.
Central improves to 5-2 and 0-1 in the Heart, while MNU drops to 4-3 and 0-1 in conference action.
The Eagles saw four different players reach double figures, led by Isaiah Reams who scored 23 points on seven-of-nine shooting from the floor, three-for-three from beyond the arc, and six-of-seven from the charity stripe.
He also led Central with seven rebounds and six assists.
Austin Prater scored 22 points in 25 minutes of action, shooting 80 percent from the floor which included a game-high four threes. He also tallied six rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.
Raphael Gay added 12 points while Tyson Oghene finished the night with 11.
As a team, Central was lethal from long range, converting 13-of-25 attempts from the three-point line. The Eagles outrebounded the Pioneers on the glass, 38-30, and dished out 23 assists on its 32 made field goal attempts.
CMU remains at home to host William Penn University Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
