CMU Stumbles in Road Loss at Park

Parkville, Mo. — The Central Methodist men's basketball team faced a challenging road contest on Saturday, falling 92–73 to Park University in Parkville, Mo. 

With the loss, Central now stands at 6-3 and 2-1 in the Heart, while Park improves to 4-5 and 2-0 in conference action.

The Eagles struggled to match Park's offensive pace, falling behind early and unable to recover.

Park built a commanding lead in the first half, outscoring Central Methodist 49–32. The Eagles shot just 38.7 percent from the field, including 27.6 percent from three-point range and 53.1 percent from the charity stripe.

Senior forward Raphael Gay posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Isaiah Reams added 13 points as did Tyson Oghene

Austin Prater netted 12 points while also adding seven rebounds and five assists to his statline. 

Central will next travel to Canton, Missouri to take on Culver-Stockton College Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 4:00 p.m.
