Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist senior forward Raphael Gay was named the Heart of America Defensive Player of the Week by the conference office Monday. 

The native of Paris, France secured a double-double with 26 points and 14 rebounds against Culver-Stockton Tuesday. Eleven of his 14 rebounds came on the defensive glass. 

Additionally, he had two blocks and a pair of steals in the game.

CMU is now 7-3 and 3-1 in the Heart. They will next host Missouri Valley College Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
