Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist men's basketball senior guard Isaiah Reams has been selected to the Bevo Francis Award Top 100 Watch List, which was announced by the Small College Basketball and National Awards Committee Thursday afternoon.
Reams joins Graceland's Cole Bowen as the only players from the Heart of America Athletic Conference to be featured. He is also the first Eagle to be named to the list since Tim Cameron during the 2021-22 season.
The 2026 Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List consists of the top players from NCAA Division II, Division III, NAIA, the USCAA, and NCCAA.
The Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Considerations will be season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character, and team achievements. The incredibly prestigious award will be bestowed on only one player in Small College Basketball each season.
Reams, a senior guard from Mexico, Missouri, has appeared and started in all 18 games for Central this season, averaging a team-leading 19.8 points/game. He has reached double figures in 16 games played, scoring twenty or more points on eight different occassions including three games of 30 or more points.
His best performance came against John Brown on Nov. 10, when he dropped 39 points on 11-of-17 shooting from the floor highlighted by five three point baskets. He was awarded Heart Offensive Player of the Week honors for his performance, and is two-time weekly honoree so far this season.
Additionally, Reams is averaging 4.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists/game while playing in 34 minutes/contest. To date, he is shooting 54.5 percent from the floor, 38.7 from three, and 80.9 percent from the free throw line.
On Feb. 15, the list will be reduced to the Top 50 players. One month later on March 15, the Top 25 players will be announced.
On April 4, the finalists of this year's award will be announced, followed by the Bevo Francis Award winner being crowned on April 6th.
