Overland Park, Kan. - Three members of the Central Methodist Men's Basketball program were named to Heart of America All-Conference teams, which were announced by the conference office on Thursday, February 26.
Seniors Isaiah Reams and Raphael Gay made First Team All-Conference, with senior guard Tyson Oghene named to the Third Team. Gay also earned All-Defense honors for his defensive play.
Reams, a transfer from Truman State University and a native of Mexico, Missouri, started all 30 games for the Eagles this season.
Reams averaged 17.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, and four assists/game in 2025-26. Additionally, he knocked down 81 percent of his free throw attempts and shot 50.1 percent from the field.
The senior reached double figures in 25 of 30 contests, highlighted by nine 20-point performances and three 30-point outings.
Reams scored a season-best 39 points against John Brown on Nov. 10, which resulted in his first Heart Player of the Week honor. He later earned his second weekly award on Jan, 12.
Gay anchored Central on both ends of the floor, providing a commanding presence in the paint. The Paris, France native started all 27 games he appeared in, averaging 17.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest.
Gay had an incredible stretch where he earned Heart Player of the Week honors three times in a four-week span. He was named the Heart Defensive Player of the Week twice (Dec. 1 and Dec. 22) and once as the Offensive Player of the Week (Dec. 15).
He earned his fourth Defensive Player of the Week honors on Feb. 11.
The 6-foot-7 forward scored in double figures in 22 games, tallying seven 20-point efforts and three 30-point performances.
Oghene, a transfer from Canisius University and a native of Malmo, Sweden, appeared in 25 games with 23 starts.
He averaged 15.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists/game. Additionally, he knocked down 78.3 percent of his free throw attempts, shot 40.5 percent from the field, and 34.3 percent from beyond the arc.
Oghene delivered a pair of season-high 28-point performances against Culver–Stockton College on Feb. 11 and Grand View University on Feb. 14, resulting in his first Heart Player of the Week honor.
Central finished the year with a 19-11 overall record and a 12-8 mark in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
