Hook's Perfect Game Highlights Eagles’ Heart Conference Tournament Run
Columbia, Mo. - The Central Methodist University men's bowling team battled through a competitive field at the 2026 Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Bowling Championship over the weekend in Columbia, Missouri.

The eight-team double-elimination tournament featured the following programs: No. 1 Mount Mercy, No. 2 Baker, No. 3 William Penn, No. 4 Missouri Baptist, No. 5 Culver-Stockton, No. 6 Clarke, No. 7 Grand View, and No. 8 CMU.

The eighth-seeded Eagles opened tournament play in the winner's bracket against top-seeded Mount Mercy. Despite a strong effort, Central Methodist fell 2-0, sending the Eagles into the consolation bracket early in the championship.

In the opening round of the consolation bracket, Central squared off with Culver-Stockton College in Game 5. Culver-Stockton claimed the 2-0 match victory, ending the Eagles' run in the tournament standings, but not before Central Methodist delivered one of the most memorable moments of the championship.

While facing Culver-Stockton, sophomore Lane Hook bowled a perfect 300 game. Hook's flawless performance — 12 consecutive strikes — provided a signature highlight for the Eagles on one of the conference's biggest stages and marked one of the premier individual performances of the championship.
