Eagle Mens Golfers Finish Second at HAAC Championships
The Central Methodist University men's golf team shot a three-round total of 963 to finish as the team runner-up at the Heart of America Athletic Conference championships Monday and Tuesday.

The Eagles finished second behind Lindenwood University, who won the team title with a 912 three-round total. Missouri Valley College finished third, 22 strokes behind Central Methodist.

Freshman Ty Lieberman (Boonville, Mo.) earned All-HAAC honors by finishing in a tie for fifth in the individual standings. He shot a 234 at the meet to finish 10 strokes behind individual champion Greg MacAulay from Lindenwood. Sophomore Brad Howell (Troy, Mo.) shot a 241 to finish 12th overall, just four strokes off of earning all-conference honors. Sophomore Nathaniel Oliver (Republic, Mo.) was three strokes behind Howell with a 244 to finish in a tie of 18th place. Sophomore Andrew Behrle (Buffalo, Mo.) and junior Tyler Peasel (Troy, Mo.) rounded out the scoring for CMU with a 250 and 252, respectively. Behrle finished 22nd, while Peasel tied for 25th.
