LAWRENCE, Kan. - The Central Methodist men's golf team finished fourth at the Evangel Spring Invitational. The Eagles carded a 329 on the second day to finish the two-day event with a 651.
Central Methodist's Ty Lieberman and Brad Howell finished tied for 10th overall to lead the team. Lieberman shot a final-round 81 to finish with a 160 overall. Howell fired a 78 on the last day to total 160 for the tournament.
Tyler Peasel and Nathaniel Oliver finished tied for 38th. Peasel shot an 80 on the last day to finish with a�170 total. Oliver shot a 93 on the final day to finish with a�170. Andrew Behrle was tied for 51st with a two-day score of 174 (84+90).
Evangel won the tournament. Their team score was a 633. Mike Bubenicek of Millikin placed first with a two-day low of 153.
Central Methodist will participate in the Missouri Valley Spring Invitational on April 2-3.
