MARSHALL, Mo. - Central Methodist finished seventh place after the third round of the 2014 Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Championship, which was held at Indian Hills Golf Course on Tuesday. The Eagles totaled a 957 (317-320-320) on the Par 72 6,421-yard course.
Central Methodist's�Ty Lieberman�tied for 10th overall, shooting a six-over 78 Tuesday to finish with a three-round score of 234 (77-79-78), six strokes off the lead. Lieberman was named the league's Player of the Year for a second-straight season and to the 2014 All-HAAC team based on scoring average during the season.�
The Eagles'�Austin Rapp tied for 16th with a two-day total of 239 (78-78-83).�Brendan Ross completed play tied for 23rd overall and tied Lieberman for lowest team score Tuesday with a six-over 78. Ross shot a 241 (81-82-78) in three rounds. Ryan Rost was 30th with a 244 (81-81-82). Trevor Cooley placed 33rd after carding a 247 (82-83-82).
Culver-Stockton (Mo.) won the tournament and secured an automatic bid to the�63rd annual NAIA Men's Golf National Championship May 13-16 at�LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Wildcats' Tyler Barr was the individual champion with a 228 (77-72-79).
