Kansas City, Mo. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Friday that 147 men's golf student-athletes have been named 2016 Daktronics-NAIA Men's Golf Scholar-Athletes. Among those honored, include Central Methodist University junior Brendan Ross (Louisiana, Mo.).

"I want to congratulate Brendan Ross and his family on his selection to the NAIA Scholar-Athlete List," said CMU head men's golf coach Jim Ray Kluck. "Brendan has maintained over a 3.6 GPA for his entire career at CMU. He has also been team captain, an active member in the TKE fraternity, and participated in many student activities throughout the CMU campus."

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.

"This is Brendan's second time to receive this honor," continued Kluck. A job well done!"
