Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist senior golfer Matias Baccola was named the Heart Men's Golfer of the Week for the first time this spring by the conference office Monday. 

The native of La Falda, Argentina competed at the William Woods tournament last week in Fulton, Mo. He placed fourth overall with rounds of 75 and 71 for a two-round total of 146. The field included 68 total golfers and featured 12 teams represented by 10 different schools. Baccola led the Eagles to a second-place finish. 

The CMU men will next compete in the Mount Mercy Spring Classic Thursday, April 14 at Amana Colonies Golf Course in Amana, Iowa.
