Boonville, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's Golf program took home the team title at the CMU Fall Invitational, held Monday at Hail Ridge Golf Course in Boonville, Mo.
The men's side featured 63 players from six different schools including; CMU, Park, William Woods, Missouri Valley, Culver-Stockton College, and Coffeyville Community College.
The Eagles finished the tournament with a final score of 580, nine strokes better than second place Park University. William Woods placed third with a final score of 594.
Highlighting the day for CMU was the first-place finish for senior Matias Baccola, who shot a two-round total of 141. Junior Aaron Teece tied for fifth place with scores of 71 and 74.
Cade Basson also landed in the Top 10 with a two-round total of 147, just two strokes back from Teece.
Central will next compete in the William Woods Invitational, beginning Monday Sept. 19 in Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, Mo.
