Fayette, Mo. - After two years leading the Central Methodist Men's and Women's Golf programs, Shannon Jeffrey has resigned from his position as Head Coach. 

"I want to thank Coach Jeffrey for his love, dedication and commitment to CMU Golf," stated Director of Athletics Jeff Sherman.

"He is a man of high character and is highly respected in the CMU and area communities. Shannon's fundraising efforts were intrsumental for the programs and will be valuable for additional equipment and the student-athlete experience. He has made CMU a better place. We wish Shannon and Angie much love and happiness as they move to St. Louis to be closer to family."

Jeffrey was hired as Head Coach in June, 2023 and worked diligently to incorporate an indoor training facility, which is now located on the Fayette Square. 

In two years leading the program, Jeffrey led the Eagles to a combined 13 top three tournament finishes as well as five tournament championships.

He coached six NAIA Scholar Athletes and numerous individual tournament champions. 

In 2024-25, the CMU men improved three places in the Heart of America Conference tournament, while sophomore Cole Wiese was named to the Heart All-Conference Team. The CMU women placed fifth in the conference tournament in back-to-back seasons.
