Central Methodist University freshman Thyago Catharino's hat trick in the final match of the season helped him earn the Heart of America Athletic Conference men's soccer offensive player-of-the-week honors Nov. 9.

Catharino, a forward from Sao Paulo, Brazil, closed out his season by scoring three goals and assisting on another in Central Methodist's 7-1 win over Culver-Stockton last week. Catharino finished the season with 16 goals and four assists to lead the conference in goals and rank in the top two in the HAAC in four offensive categories. He was selected to the All-HAAC 1st Team, while also being chosen as the HAAC Offensive Most Valuable Player for the season.
