FAYETTE, Mo. - Guilherme da Silveira's 73rd-minute goal lifted Central Methodist to a 2-1 victory over Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) on Wednesday evening at Davis Field. The Eagles end the Lynx' six-match win streak.

Central Methodist (7-6-1) staked a 1-0 edge in the 10th minute when Kendell Campbell found the back of the net on a putback from three yards out following a save.

Juan Pablo Santa Maria tied the game for Lindenwood-Belleville (9-3-2) on a penalty kick in the 53rd minute, but da Silveira scored the game-winner from 13 yards out at the 72:51 mark.

The Lynx had allowed only four goals during their six-match win streak, while the Eagles had been shutout in three previous losses, but five different Central Methodist players registered a shot on goal in Wednesday's win.

Eagles' goalkeeper German Schacht made four saves in 90 minutes.

Lindenwood-Belleville netminder Julio Zaldivar tallied three saves and went the distance.

Central Methodist travels to Graceland (Iowa) on Saturday, Oct. 19. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT.
