FAYETTE, Mo. - Santiago Padruno, a 5'11 defender, has signed with the Central Methodist men's�soccer team for the 2014 season, head coach Dan Schmidlin announced Friday.

"I can't wait to play soccer for the Eagles for the next four years," Padruno said.

Padruno led Fort Bend Clements High School in Sugar Land, Texas, to an 18-3-4 record in 2013 and consecutive appearances in the Class 5A Regional Quarterfinals. A senior captain, he was voted first team All-District in 2012 and 2013 and second team in 2011.

"Santi is a great addition to our program and will help us right away on our back line," Schmidlin said. "He will represent CMU well on and off the field. I look forward to coaching him over the next four years."

Padruno plays club soccer for Eclipse.
