FAYETTE, Mo. - Central Methodist avenged an early season loss to William Woods (Mo.) by picking up a 1-0 triumph on Thursday evening at Davis Field.

After dropping a 3-1 decision to the Owls on Sept. 10, Central Methodist (8-7) scored the lone goal of the match in the 22nd minute when Nicolas Vallejos took advantage of a misplayed ball by a William Woods (10-3-2) defender and struck a shot from 30 yards out past a diving Ivan Monterrubio.

Eagles' goalkeeper Carlos Ribera made four saves in 90 minutes.

Monterrubio played the first half in net for the Owls. Goalkeeper Conor Cable played the final 45 minutes, recording one save.

Central Methodist hosts Graceland (Iowa) on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. CT.
